FINOpti

Privacy Policy

Effective  12 July 2026 Applies to  FINOpti for iOS Version  1.0
The short version

FINOpti is built to keep your work on your device. Your cut lists, jobs, materials, offcuts, and settings never leave your iPhone — there are no accounts and no sign-in. The optimizer runs entirely offline, there are no accounts and no sign-in, and the app never asks you for your name, e-mail address or phone number. Nothing you enter is ever sent anywhere. The app makes one kind of network request: it downloads the sponsored cards shown on a few screens, and that request sends nothing about you — no account, no device identifier, nothing about your jobs.

DataWhere it's keptLeaves your device?
Jobs, panels, materials & offcuts On your device No

01Who this covers

This policy explains how the FINOpti cutting-optimizer app for iPhone (“FINOpti”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. It applies to the app itself. It does not cover any third party's own services, which have their own policies (linked below).

FINOpti is provided by Blendi Ymeri, an independent developer based in Kosovo, who is the data controller responsible for the app. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

02What we don't collect

FINOpti has no user accounts and no login. The app does not ask for or collect:

  • Your name, email address, or phone number
  • Your location, contacts, or calendar
  • Your photo library, camera roll, or any images on your device

Your work is stored on your device (see section 03), not gathered by us.

03Data stored on your device

Everything you create in FINOpti — your saved jobs, panel lists, stock and material library, banked offcuts, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard app storage. It is included in your device's own encrypted backups if you use iCloud or a computer backup, under Apple's control, not ours.

You can export a backup of this data to a file yourself from Settings → Backup. That file stays entirely under your control — it is shared only where and when you choose to send it.

Deleting the app removes this on-device data from your device.

04Sponsored cards

FINOpti is free. To pay for its development we show a small number of sponsored cards — clearly labelled “Sponsored” — on the Home, Jobs, and Inventory screens. They never appear while you are building a cut list, viewing a cutting plan, or working at the saw.

These are sold and served by us directly, mostly to local suppliers. There is no advertising network involved, and specifically:

  • The app does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not ask to track you across other apps or websites.
  • The request that fetches the cards carries no account, no device identifier, and no cookies, and nothing about your jobs or materials.
  • The cards are not personalised. Everyone sees the same ones.
  • We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Like any request to a website, our server receives the network address (IP address) the request came from — this is how the internet works and is unavoidable. We use it only to serve the response and for ordinary, short-lived server logs; we do not use it to identify you or build a profile.

If you tap a sponsored card it opens the advertiser's own website in your browser. What happens there is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.

05Third-party services

Apple is the only third party involved, and only for the purpose described:

We use no analytics and no tracking, and no third-party advertising network — the sponsored cards described in section 04 are served by us. If we add any third-party service in the future, we will update this policy and the app's App Store privacy details before it takes effect.

06Retention & your control

On-device data lives on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Because we don't hold accounts, there is nothing on our side to log into or delete for you — we hold no copy of your data at all.

You are always in control: export your own backup at any time, and remove all app data by deleting the app.

07Children

FINOpti is a professional tool for woodworkers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a company holds about you. FINOpti holds no personal profile about you — your data stays on your device — so in practice there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. If you have any question about your privacy, contact us and we'll help.

09Changes to this policy

If we change how FINOpti handles data, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and note any material change in the app. Continued use of FINOpti after an update means you accept the revised policy.
